Imagine poor Eliza’s dilemma.  She’s-alone, outnumbered, untrusted, unpopular, on the brink of being outcast.  To make matters worse, her closest ally on her tribe was taken out of the game due to an injury.

It’s a time like this, when things seem terribly bleak, when serious reflection is needed.  She needs to think about someone wiser than herself and remember those four little letters-WWJD.  So, Eliza, what would Jonathan do?

Yes, you’re in a tough spot.  You’re in a group with James, Parvati, Jason, Kathy, Alexis and Natalie.  Everyone knows that James & Parvati are in an alliance and don’t trust you at all.  As far as Jason, Kathy, Alexis and Natalie are concerned, your reputation precedes you.  They remember how you stabbed Ami in the back during Survivor: Vanuatu.  So, what would Jonathan do?

Jonathan would do the same thing he did on the Cook Islands-he would try to make friends with the enemy.  Do you remember when Jonathan, who was on the outs with his own tribe, jumped ship and joined the other group?  It was his best hope to go farther in the game, and it worked.  You must do the same thing-make friends with the fans that are in your tribe.  The question is–can you get three other people to vote out James or Parvati?

Kathy should be easy for you to get on board.  She strikes me as being quite impressionable and being quick to like just about anybody.  She only knew Jonathan for 3 days before he left the game and she was crying like Halle Berry at the Oscars.

I think Jason would be okay with things, as long as Parvati is the one to go.  He would be reluctant to vote out James, as Jason is into winning challenges.  At the same time, he’s no dummy and he’ll be willing to play the “fans vs. favourites” numbers game within the tribe.

I’m not sure about Natalie.  She seems like she’s smart enough to see that the alliance has to be broken, but I haven’t seen or heard enough of her to be absolutely sure.  She showed a willingness to get her hands dirty in the game by going along with plans to back-stab other players in the past, so I think she’s a possible.

Alexis?  Who knows?  Do we really know enough about her to gauge what kind of player she is?  She’s a real wild card.

If you can get three out of four, Eliza, you can save yourself, break up that love alliance and maybe start one of your own.  That’s what Jonathan would do.

Will she be successful?  With her tribe winning lots of challenges lately, will she have to be?  Tune in later in the week for another recap!  May the tribe speak clearly to you!
